The Marth Revolution, also called the Zargistani Revolution of 1554 and the Marth 1554 Zargistani coup d'état, took place on Marth 21, 1554, when General Abjul Takmir, acting as the leader and spokesman for an alliance of political and military figures within the Zargistani state, seized control of the Zargistani government from Mirat Agar II. The majority of the violence of the Marth Revolution was centered in Tarkek, where the Mirati Guard resisted attempts by forces under the command of General Takmir to arrest the king. King Agar was successfully smuggled out of the country by the Mirati Guard and loyalists.

The revolution resulted in the creation of the Republic of Zargistan, which existed for roughly a month before then-President Abjul Takmir dissolved the republican government and seized total control, establishing the People's State of Zargistan.
