History
Early Settlers
The first settlers of the region known as Aith-Rahab had come from the northern mountain ranges - it's speculated that these groups were of different tribes all descended from one common peoples who were separated after a cataclysmic event. Migrating across the deserts, they settled across various oases and grassland areas. Over time the chieftains became kings of city-states as the population grew and people migrated between cities.
The State of Athun
The city-state of Athun was located in what is now Krakandar. As it was on the river delta and coastline it was a very prosperous city. Its significance as a port city as well as a river port gave it vast economic power over many of the other city states. Using it's powerful economy it managed to build an army greater than that of the surrounding city-states. Once the Great King Babajii ascended the throne of Athun he immediately set out to conquer the surrounding city states, forming the First Kingdom of Athun.
To oppose Babaji's conquests, several surrounding city-states began allying themselves to the main power that was Babaji's rival, the Diplomatic State of Ain Thastut. The alliance became known as the Coalition of States.
