The Archchancellor of Gehenna is the head of government in the Gehennan Realm. Before the creation of the modern office, Gehenna did not have a head of government separate from its head of state, namely the Kaiser, in whom the executive authority was vested. The Constitution established a semi-constitutional monarchy by limiting the powers of the Monarch and creating the office of Archchancellor which shares some powers. The inaugural holder of the office is Josef Adelmann von Schwarzburg.

The Archchancellor presides over a cabinet, known as the small council, that is appointed by the Monarch. In practice, the appointment of the Archchancellor is determined by popular vote in the general elections. This vote is tied to the party, and the party with the largest popular support wins the Archchancellory.

The current Archchancellor of Gehenna is Walter Aldrich Liedmann von Heisenburg, now serving his second term. He leads a majority government consisting of his Gehenischnationalisten Partei.
