The Three Emperors

In the year 1231 The Emperor died, leaving his three children to rule the Empire. Each child felt they were the sole heir to the nation, only to find that each had been granted dominion over one third by their father. The Great Houses quickly chose which Lord they supported in unifying the Empire.
