Template:Infobox military The Armed Forces of Kubaniza (Kuban: Збройні Сили Кубаньізи, tr. Zbroyni Syly Kubanizy) are the military of Kubaniza, and consist of three branches: the Ground Forces, the Air Force, the National Guard, and the Coast Guard. Its Supreme Commander is Grand Hetman Vasily Bukanko.
History
The Armed Forces's predecessor was the United Khorobri Forces, a federation of khorobri units founded by Vasily Bukanko with the purpose of fighting against the Union of Socialist Republics after Gregor Perov became Premier. The United Khorobri Forces fought against Union forces in the Winter War, which resulted in the Bukanya Accords and Kubanizan independence. After independence, the United Khorobri Forces was disbanded and the Armed Forces of Kubaniza were created shortly after by several former khorobri commanders. The first protocols of the Khapuz Convention gave governing powers to the Armed Forces and Vasily Bukanko was appointed the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Kubaniza. For the period between Quartyr 1526 and Dosa 1527, the Armed Forces kept the peace and prevented the country from falling into anarchy until the Khapuz Convention could establish a government system.
In Dosa 1527, the Khapuz Convention established a federal system of government and Vasily Bukanko was elected to the seat of Grand Hetman. Under the Convention, the Grand Hetman was also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, so Bukanko kept his position as Supreme Commander.
Structure
The Ministry of Defense of the Kubanizan Federation is the administrative body of the Armed Forces. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kubaniza is the main commanding and supervising body for the Kubanizan Armed Forces. The Minister of Defense, the civilian commander of the armed forces, is nominated by the Grand Hetman and confirmed by the Verkhovna Rada. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kubaniza is appointed by the Grand Hetman. The current Defense Minister is Petro Karaimovych and the current Chief of the General Staff is General of the Army of Kubaniza Maksym Dyachenko.
The Armed Forces contain four services: the Kubanizan Ground Forces, the Kubanizan Air Force, the National Guard of Kubaniza, and the Kubanizan Coast Guard. These services are divided into four military districts: Northern Military District, Central Military District, Southern Military District, and Pomimorya Military District. The Coast Guard is only active in the Pomimorya Military District.
Kubanizan security bodies not under the authority of the Ministry of Defense include the Federal Security Service and Border Patrol Service under the Ministry of the Interior and the independent Federal Protective Service.
