Taras Yakovych Bohdanko (Kuban: Тарас Якович Богданко) is a Kubanizan businessman and mobster. He was the head of the Zakhidnastorona Bratva criminal organization before being imprisoned in 1562. However, some experts believe that Bohdanko remains a major influence in the Zakhidnastorona gang even from prison.
History[edit]
Bohdanko was born in poverty in 1504 in the northern Kubanizan city of Dnaino. His father worked in a manufacturing plant and his mother was unemployed. When he was 14 years old, his father was killed in a machinery accident. Soon after his father's death, Bohdanko was arrested for assault but no charges were filed.
Organized crime activity[edit]
In 1519, when he was 15 years old, Bohdanko joined the Zakhidnastorona Bratva, a gang originating from western Dnaino. He developed a reputation for being a particularly brutal and loyal Zakhidnastorona foot soldier and later enforcer. When he was 29 he became a lieutenant. In 1555 he became the boss of the entire organization.
